Telemedicine Brings a Doctor to Your Door

Teladoc® is a telemedicine provider that serves more than 4 million Medicare members nationwide. It’s available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Most ConnectiCare Medicare Advantage plans cover Teladoc visits for just $45 in 2020.*

Telemedicine offers convenience and peace of mind. Teladoc doctors can do many of the same things your primary care provider (PCP) does in an office. And a telemedicine visit can mean the difference between spending a night waiting in an emergency room and sleeping in your own bed.

Telemedicine fills gaps
Your PCP should always your best first stop for annual exams and non-emergency health concerns. But telemedicine can help fill in gaps when:

-          Weather makes travel difficult.

-          It’s outside of business hours or the weekend.

-          You’re not sure if you have a cold or the flu.

-          Your PCP isn’t available.

-          You’re on vacation.

Teladoc’s staff of board-certified doctors are available by phone or video chat. They can send prescriptions to your local pharmacy, if needed. You can register for Teladoc and request appointments through their mobile app for a smartphone or tablet, on your computer, or by phone.

What Teladoc doctors treat
Some of the most common reasons people over 65 use Teladoc are to consult a doctor for a:
