FARMINGTON, Conn. – December 29, 2025 – ConnectiCare, a Connecticut-based health plan owned by Molina Healthcare, Inc., donated more than 80 boxes of pads, tampons, and other period supplies to The Diaper Bank of Connecticut’s (CT) Beam program – the Connecticut Chapter of the Alliance for Period Supplies. This donation will help provide 60 Connecticut women in need with a supplemental supply of period products.

In Connecticut, 1 in 8 women and girls between the ages of 12 and 44 lives below the Federal Poverty Level, and almost 60% of families living in poverty struggle to keep up with their bills and cover unexpected expenses. Pads and tampons are simple necessities, yet many across Connecticut are going without them. The cost of these products makes them inaccessible for many low-income individuals struggling to make ends meet. The donation took place as part of a broader Molina Healthcare employee resource group initiative for Period Action Day, which aims to end the stigma around women’s menstrual cycles and to support community health and wellness by increasing access by easing some of the financial burden. “ConnectiCare is proud to support the Diaper Bank’s Beam program and its mission to make essential period supplies more accessible,” said Kimberly Kann, AVP of growth and community engagement at ConnectiCare. “Barriers like cost and limited access can have a real impact on a person’s health and daily life, which is why we take a holistic approach to supporting our communities.
