All of our plans include vision exams - There are two types of eye exams – routine and diagnostic.
Routine eye exam – A routine eye exam includes a vision check, screening for eye disease, and any updates to eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions. All our plans cover one routine eye exam per year, but you must visit an EyeMed® participating provider. Find EyeMed eye doctors at eyemedvisioncare.com and choose the “Insight” network. The EyeMed network includes independent providers and many familiar chains.
Diagnostic eye exam – A diagnostic exam tests to see if you have conditions that may need monitoring or treatment. Examples of those conditions are cataracts, glaucoma, detached retina, macular degeneration, cornea injuries, and dry eye. You’ll need to use the “Find a Doctor” directory to find in-network ophthalmologists (eye doctors).
