Winter sports – skiing, skating and sledding
There’s no need to head west to hit the slopes. Connecticut ski areas have trails for experts or newcomers. Check websites for details on winter lessons and programs for the whole family. If skates are more your style, there are indoor and outdoor rinks around the state.
Sure, there are incredible art museums in Connecticut. But our state is also home to some unique and kid-friendly museums. Whether you love natural history or puppets, science or clocks and watches, you’ll find all this and more around the state.
After fun activities, it’s nice to warm up with a delicious meal. Explore some of the state’s best seasonal eats with the Chowda Trail! This informal tour takes you around the state to try chowder, soups and more. The official Chowdafest happens in October, but the chowder’s just as hot in January or February.
