The ConnectiCare member ID card can be a physical ID card or a digital ID card and are issued in the following formats:
- Medicare members have an ID number that may begin with the letter “K” or an all-numeric ID number with 13 digits that begins with the number eight.
- Marketplace (on and off exchange) members have an all-numeric ID number with 3-9 digits.
- Commercial (employer group) members have an ID number that begins with the letter “K”.
Possession of a ConnectiCare member ID Card does not guarantee member eligibility or coverage. Providers are responsible for ensuring ConnectiCare members are eligible for benefits. Providers should verify the eligibility of members at every visit prior to rendering services by checking either of the following:
- Availity Essentials provider portal
- ConnectiCare Provider Contact Center automated Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system at 800-828-3407
