FARMINGTON, CT (May 4, 2016) – This month marks 35 years since the first ConnectiCare health insurance products were introduced. Today ConnectiCare is the state’s largest health plan by membership for individual buyers, including Medicare members, and for small employers.
Throughout 2016, ConnectiCare will be commemorating its history – and revealing its future. Today ConnectiCare introduced a new logo that is simpler and modern, and that reflects the company’s purpose to make it easy for its members to get the care they need. The heart symbol above the “I” in ConnectiCare’s name continues to be a key element in the company’s identity because the heart represents the way our members report ConnectiCare makes them feel when they receive ConnectiCare’s services or use a ConnectiCare product.
While the world of health care has changed dramatically since 1981, nothing has changed in ConnectiCare’s commitment to improving health of the people of Connecticut. “We think of Connecticut as more than just a spot on the map.
