  Provider’s Guide to Preventive Health Services

  Preventive services include the care you receive from your doctor as part of a routine physical, including immunizations and certain lab work. When you receive certain preventive services you are covered 100% and won’t have any out-of-pocket cost. Keep in mind that your doctor may do some necessary tests as part of a routine physical that are not considered preventive and you will be required to pay some of that cost. Also, if you and your doctor talk about other health concerns at your appointment, the visit may no longer be considered preventive and you will pay some of the cost for the visit.
