Learn About Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) | Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA's) | Key Advantages of an HRA

      Possible lower premium contributions:
An HRA with an HRA-compatible health plan helps lower annual premium increases for your employer. As a result, your premium contributions for health care coverage may be stabilized.

      Tax-free benefits:
You’re not taxed on any of the funds that your employer contributes to your HRA.

      Incentive to stay informed:

Making knowledgeable and prudent health care decisions pays off with an HRA because your funds go further. Individuals with chronic health conditions, for example, can help reduce treatment costs by enrolling in one of ConnectiCare’s nationally recognized Health Management Programs, which offer one-on-one assistance from a specially trained nurse case manager, who provides information about self-care, lifestyle changes, evidence-based health care practices, and treatment options.

      Administration of your HRA
Your employer will select an outside vendor to perform HRA administration and provide service for your HRA. The HRA vendor is responsible for all administration of your HRA funds, including reimbursements of eligible expenses, providing account information, and HRA customer service. Contact your employer for information about your HRA vendor.

Upon enrollment in a ConnectiCare health plan, you’ll receive a ConnectiCare ID card, which should be used to obtain covered services, and a Membership Agreement, which outlines the details of your health plan.
