Since our company started in 1981, we have engaged the community beyond our business. Our company actively seeks ways to enhance the local community by supporting non-profit and health-based organizations. Through our employee giving campaigns, sponsorships, and charitable giving, ConnectiCare provides $750,000 back to the community each year.
ConnectiCare's top giving event is the annual United Way Campaign. For the last five years, our employees have given at least $100,000 in donations for each year's drive. Since 1998, ConnectiCare has contributed $1,566,100 to the United Way of the Capital Area.
Our main mission at ConnectiCare is to help improve the lives of our members, and with our Community Giving Program we have extended that mission to the broader community. ConnectiCare evaluates programs that center on wellness, prevention, and strengthen the delivery system. The following benefactors are just some of the organizations we traditionally support.
• American Red Cross
• Big Brothers and Big Sisters
• Camp Courant
• Connecticut Public Health Foundation
• Connecticut AIDS Resource Coalition
• Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
• Malta House of Care
• Multiple Sclerosis Society
• National Medical Fellowship Foundation
• The United Way of Hartford
• YWCA of Hartford
