Since our company started in 1980, we have engaged the community beyond our business. Our company actively seeks ways to enhance the local community by supporting non-profit and health-based organizations.
Through our employee giving campaigns, sponsorships, and charitable giving, ConnectiCare provides nearly $1 million back to the community each year. This includes our annual United Way Campaign drive that in 2006 achieved 68% employee participation and raised $108,000 from employee donations.
Part of our mission at ConnectiCare is to help improve the lives of our members, and with our Community Giving Program we have extended that mission to the broader community. We proactively evaluate organizations that can help improve the health of individuals through wellness, prevention, education, and increasing access to medical services. We look highly on programs that align with the goals of our disease management programs and help provide medical care to uninsured residents.
In addition, we will occasionally support programs that strengthen the communities’ social network and help foster healthy living. The following benefactors are just some of the organizations we traditionally support.
- American Lung Foundation
- American Red Cross
- Big Brothers and Big Sisters
- Camp Courant
- Connecticut Public Health Foundation
- Connecticut AIDS Resource Coalition
- Easter Seals
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
- Malta House of Care
- Multiple Sclerosis Society
- Minority Supplier Development Council
- National Medical Fellowship Foundation
- The United Way of Hartford
- YWCA of Hartford
We welcome proposals for charitable giving or sponsorships that align with our corporate values and mission.
