Manage a Condition | QuitCare - Smoking Cessation

The U.S. Surgeon General has said, "Smoking cessation (stopping smoking) represents the single most important step that smokers can take to enhance the length and quality of their lives." If you’re thinking about quitting smoking you have a better chance at being successful if you do it with support. ConnectiCare’s QuitCare program can provide you with that support.*

QuitCare is a telephonic smoking cessation program that includes:

      1. Coaching support from a trained Tobacco Cessation Treatment Specialist
      2. Educational materials in the mail to support the quit process
      3. Coverage for Over-The-Counter Nicotine Replacement Therapy (e.g. Nicotine patches, Nicotine gum). Deductibles apply.
      4. Coverage for physician-prescribed medication for smoking cessation (covered according to your pharmacy benefit; co-payments and deductibles apply).

All authorizations and services are contingent upon the member’s continued ConnectiCare eligibility at the time services are rendered and are subject to the terms and conditions of the Membership Agreement or other Plan document.

For more information about ConnectiCare’s QuitCare program please call one of our Health Management Representatives at 1-800-390-3522.

      * QuitCare is available to all fully-insured group and ConnectiCare® SOLO members.
