Michael Wise
President

Michael Wise became President of ConnectiCare health plans in March 2010.

He joined the company in late 2005 as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. Over his tenure, he has continued to grow his management over the entire company and is an established leader for the EmblemHealth enterprise.

Arriving from Cigna Healthcare where he had served in a variety of senior-level roles since 1999, most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Network Management. During his tenure at Cigna, he also served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Medical Analysis and Vice President of Finance for the Tri-State Region.

Wise has a deep background in the managed care industry and was formerly Chief Financial Officer for Kaiser Permanente in Rockville, Maryland and Physicians Quality Care in Oak Brook, Illinois. Prior to these assignments he held a senior management position with Deloitte & Touche Management Consulting.

He holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Michigan and a BA in Economics from the University of Rochester. He lives locally with his wife, Cynthia and his three children.
