Farmington, CT – ConnectiCare has launched a real-time information web tool for providers called “Provider Connections.” The web portal was built to better communicate patient benefit information and reduce administrative tasks for participating providers, doctors and hospitals. Provider Connections is now available to providers at our website - www.connecticare.com.

Provider Connections gives providers direct access to critical information 24 hours a day. The web portal is an easy way to access and verify member eligibility, member benefits, claim status, submit new referral requests, inquire about an existing referral, view explanation of payment statements, seek credentialing for new doctors, and view ConnectiCare medical and pharmacy policy criteria. It also allows providers to search for up to 20 members at a time.

“Our goal from day one of this project was to launch a portal that was incredibly user friendly,” says Kathleen Gauthier, Director of Provider Education. “Providers will now be able to check member eligibility, benefits and claim status without having to make a call. Provider Connections was developed with input from our providers. They told us what they wanted and we listened.”

The launch of this portal is a culmination of 18 months of research, design and development. ConnectiCare hosted a portal preview session with provider offices to help develop the portal. “In essence, we asked the audience what they wanted to see and then delivered what they needed in order to do their jobs more efficiently,” said Gauthier.
