Mickey Herbert Announces Retirement at ConnectiCare
Michael Wise Named President
FARMINGTON, CT January 29, 2010 - Mickey Herbert has announced his plans to retire as President and CEO of ConnectiCare as of February 28, 2010. EmblemHealth has named Michael Wise as President of ConnectiCare health plans effective March 1, 2010.
While at ConnectiCare, Mickey Herbert has been well recognized in the business community for being a leader on health reform. He has worked in health care and health policy for over 35 years. He has served at ConnectiCare since 2005.
Michael Wise will assume the role of President. He has led ConnectiCare since December 2005 as CFO and Executive Vice President. The succession has long been planned internally. Over the years, Wise has continued to grow his management responsibilities over the entire company and is an established leader for the EmblemHealth enterprise.
Mickey Herbert says “Since the day he joined the company, he has been an outstanding leader and I knew he would eventually fill my position at ConnectiCare. Over the years, Michael has continued to manage more and more of the company’s activities and this will be an easy transition for him. The company is in great hands.”
