ConnectiCare Breaks Ground on New Building

Farmington, CT – Construction has begun on a new ConnectiCare building at 175 Scott Swamp Road in Farmington. The new building will connect to the existing operations and technology center to unify ConnectiCare onto one campus. Today, ConnectiCare hosted a ground breaking ceremony with employees, the project team, and Farmington town officials.

The building will be developed and owned by the Tomasso Group. The project will span most of next year with plans for an opening at the end of summer 2009.

The building will be approximately 64,000 square feet of Class A office space. The building will be leased under an arrangement between ConnectiCare and the Tomasso Group, and financed by Farmington Savings Bank.

The building’s lead architects are Kaestle Boos Associates for base building design and Tecton Architects for interior design. The building is being designed with a green conscience with features such as a heat resistant “white roof” and energy efficient lighting.
